cd scratch art
this is super easy and fun. and the end result looks great

Things Needed

1. Any old CD
2. Acrylic paint (dark colours like black)
3. Paint brush
4. Pencil
5. Anything with sharp point to scratch the paint - nail, screwdriver ect.

-Apply the paint on the shiny side of the cd. Make sure you have a thick layer of paint so that it becomes easy to scratch the colour later.
Leave to dry.

- using the pencil draw any design on the painted side. be creative.

-With the help of a sharp object, scratch the colour along the outline of the design. Try not to scratch very hard otherwise you'll damage the shiny coating. You may also want to scratch the inside of the design to make it more interesting.

- put the finished design on the wall using blue tac. you can experiment with different colours and patterns and have them grouped into shapes on the wall.

seashell lights

seashell lights
A string of beach treasures casts a dreamy glow on a patio or porch.
Decorate a string of small white lights with clean, dry shells.
Tape a 2-foot section of lights to your work surface with bulbs lying flat.
Apply a thin layer of strong glue along the hinge edge of a shell, and press into place at the base of a light.
Repeat for each bulb.
Let dry about five minutes before continuing with the next section.

10 ways to dress up a ponytail

10 ways to dress up a ponytail
**cue infomercial voice, and super smiley blonde woman**

"Are you tired of having the same, boring hairstyle everyday? well then i have the solution for you. 10 super easy ways to dress up you everyday day ponytail."

1. Wrap it with a strand of hair
-Put your hair in a ponytail like you normally would.
-Take a small section of hair at the bottom of the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic.
-Secure with bobby pins and hairspray.

2. Wrap it with a braid
-Put your hair in a ponytail like you normally would.
-Take a small section of hair at the bottom of the ponytail and do a regular three strand braid.
-Wrap the braid around the elastic.
-Secure with bobby pins and hairspray.

3. Braid up the side
-Section out all of the hair from your ear forward on one side of your part, and clip everything else aside for later.
-Proceed to braid up the side by your ear. You can do one braid, two braid, or even three if your hair is thick enough. You can also do any type of braid - fishtail, regular, twist braid, whatever you want.
-Once your braids are complete, combine them with the remaining hair and put it in a ponytail as you normally would.

4. Add some texture on top.
-While your hair is still down, backcomb the top section of your hair.
-Using a wax or hairspray, run some product through the top of your hair with your fingers to add texture.
-Put your hair in a ponytail as you normally would, being careful not to flatten or mess up the top section.
-After your hair is secure, you can also pull up slightly on the top to add more body.

5. Make it retro
-Decide where you want your part. For a retro look, the part should be deep to one side.
-Section out the deep side of your bang area for later, and put everything else in a high ponytail.
-Curl the ends of the ponytail slightly and backcomb it a little at the base for more body.
-Brush softly through the curls for a more retro look.
-Shape your bangs into a swoop bang and either tuck them behind your ear or pin the hair beneath your ponytail.

6. Low with a side part
-Flat iron your hair and apply smoothing serum for a more polished look.
-Part your hair to one side.
-Backcomb slightly at the base of your bangs for more body.
-Loosely put your hair in a low ponytail in the back, making sure everything is soft and smooth.

7. Twist back the top
-Part your hair to one side.
-On the heavy side of your part, section out a 2-3 inch section that goes back to the middle of the top of your head.
-Clip everything else aside for later.
-With your bang section, you can do a french braid or a twist. It helps to backcomb it first for more body.
-Once your braid/twist is complete, combine it with the rest of your hair and put it in a ponytail as you normally would.

8. Add a pompadour
-Backcomb your bang area.
-Use your fingers to section out an area of your bangs however big you want your pompadour to be.
-loosely pin it back, being careful not to flatten it.
-Put your hair in a ponytail as you normally would.

9. Turn it inside out
-Put all of your hair in a low, loose ponytail.
-Once the elastic is secure, loosen the ponytail base even more with your fingers by pulling the elastic outwards.
-Starting underneath, put two fingers up through the base of your ponytail, creating a small hole.
-Flip the ponytail upwards and pull it down through the hole with your fingers.
-Once it's through, pull it tight and smooth out any bumps.

10. Braid up the back
-Section out a section of hair that goes from ear to ear and down to the base of your neck.
-Clip the top and sides aside for later.
-Flip your head upside down, smooth the hair upwards and flat, and do a french braid up the back.
-Once the braid is complete, combine it with the rest of your hair and put it in a ponytail as you normally would.

Dealing with bad friends.

6 months ago - 209 views
Dealing with bad friends.
OK we've all had that one girl or guy that we just can't stand anymore and wish the friendship would end, but you don't want drama. I'm going through that right now actually! So here is the method i'm using and hopefully it works for you too...

Boundaries: Make really strict boundaries that that "friend" can't pass like no touching or something, what your really looking for is to start pushing that person away slowly.

Don't say much: If that person thinks its OK to copy your hw say no, its perfectly OK to say no sometimes.

Gossip: If your that kind of person that adores the attention that gossip gets you... you need Jesus! Gossip is scientifically proven to not be healthy for you, for reasons of stress and anxiety! So don't tell anyone things about her or him and just go with the flow.

Talking: if your friends start talking about that person, don't join in please! That's called bullying!

Please don't bully and be considerate of others feeling at all times! Friendships are hard already, don't add drama!
